Coach D had a birthday!

 

He is the sweetest boy in the world. He makes everyone "baby hungry".
He sleeps through the night. He loves his binki and blue minki blanket.
Damon's nicknames: Coach D, Handsome Boy, Damey.
He inhales pancakes and bananas. He won't drink from a sippy cup.
He just started crawling a week before his birthday.
He grunts REALLY loud when he wants something....and I mean LOUD.
He gives a deep belly laugh when his dad wrestles him.
The girls still fight to see who can get him first when he wakes up.
He claps, says ma-ma and da-da, has 3.5 teeth, grins ear to ear almost all.day.every.day.
He still snuggles his face into my neck when he wants to go to sleep. That makes my heart turn to mush every time.
He gives our home SO MUCH JOY.

Happy Birthday Handsome Boy.....we love you more than you will ever know!


Sigh.......

Don't get me wrong, I'm really happy Damon turned ONE, but my baby is growing up way too quickly and there is nothing I can do to stop it. Can't time freeze? Please?!

Sigh........

Anyways, I will stop the sigh's for just a moment to tell all about his big day.

To celebrate we had a pool party up in Utah at my mom's house. Living away from family is so hard for me sometimes. I hate that they miss out on all of the cute things that happen on a day-to-day basis. So it made me incredibly happy that both of our families helped celebrate our sweet little man's birthday.

My attempt to photograph the cake AND the pool!  But it's hard when you are trying to hold the cake making sure it won't drop and hold the camera!

He loved every second of it! I think he would have eaten the whole cake if we would have let him.
